I think babblers should be brought back with the passion...thats my input.

    Babblers never were developed to their full potential. They could have been made both fair and useful given enough time.

    In fact I think HL2's sand creatures (whatever they're called) that attack wherever you throw their scent sack are pretty much like babblers already.

    I would LOVE to see the babblers make a comeback.

    yes if a gorge had the same amount of control over babblers as gordon does in hl2 then they would certainly be a powerful weapon

    still the problem lies in where 16 players decide to gorge and do a babbler charge - 4x 16 babblers = server crash lol

    True but it wouldn't be hard to put a limit on the number that can be spawned at one time.

    Babblers have been brought up and shot down so many times.


    I loved babblers, but there can't seem to be an implementation of them that pleases the devs from an AI standpoint.

    Maybe make the hive start spitting them out when it is below a certain percentage health and being attacked? Make them really ugly, underdeveloped skulks to fit the theme of the Hive giving birth to skulks (at least I think it does) but putting them out before they are done "cooking" in a last ditch panic move.

    if you bring in a "new" alien weapon, then i want a new marine weapon... how bout different ammo types (explosive, tracer, or armor piercing... or a combo...high explosive armor piercing... to be honest i don't want tracers unless its a hmg...i like my stealth...kant kill a fade with a lmg, so why should he know where i'm hiding with my lmg <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />...so make ammo types a choice of the player for once... tired of comm choosing everything including what weapon i'm supposed to be good with <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />)

    Also add player selectable choice of shotgun ammo... either buckshot or slug... and a choice of what size choke tube for the buck shot... because maybe i want a tight pattern instead of my shot not being effective past 10 freekin feet.

    Also... bring in a new marine weapon like full auto shotgun thats drum fed.

    Give marines that and i don't care if aliens start their life out as fades or onos's <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

    Personally i am very frustrated with ns being so constricted in how, and to what level, i can fight as a marine so yea... make the game better then it is now... i'm tired of patches that add a new map and cross hairs and only tweak the game, but yet take forever to come out. Make some earth shattering changes to ns already.

    wow... want want want... you do realized that the coders and designers have real lives too. if you want them to focus more on the game, donate money.

    all the weapons you propose have been suggested before (except maybe the spread modification on the shotgun) just because we add a weapon to one team does not mean we need a second one for the opposing team, not that i am apposed to more weapons it just needs to remain balanced .
