Maps!

I downloaded the mod about 2 weeks ago and Im really impressed - so my congrats to the team!

My question is - where can I get some more maps? I only like a couple of the maps, and Im looking for some new ones to play - any suggestions?

    You downloaded the mod 2 weeks ago... the mod itself was released 4 weeks ago. There aren't a wide selection of maps at this moment... heh. As far as I know, there's just "11th Hour"... which I've never seen used on a public server. There's also ns_simple, which is in beta, and I haven't tried.

    NS maps take a LOT of time to map, it seems. They are HUGE, and in order to satisfy the demanding standards the community requires, each room must be detailed and ambient... and that's not even mentioning the game flow. There have to be vents, and nooks, and hiding places, and all sorts of things. NS ain't something you can whip up a map for in a week... no, not even two weeks. Three weeks will probably get you a very sorry excuse for a map...

    To add to that, who has time to play more than the maps that came with it right now. A game can last 4 hours like a game of Starcraft. Hey sF, I have the cD|-server up for NS now, and it is solid on a linux box. I have adminmod installed too with a couple ns plugins. Come by some time, the ip is 68.63.155.77:27015.

    me, slay, and toppy were already there today - very nice!!

    Im gonna round up some guys to come by tonight maybe we can get a game going!

    Hells yea!!!! I was thinking of forming allies with some clans that want a NS server and hooking up adminmod accounts for them for when I am not there or other cD members without admin or don't play NS. I don't have HLGuard on the server because it reacts strangely to it. Sometimes all the server variables will be blank when you click on view server info, so I disabled admin mod. I figured if I have some reliable people when I'm not around, we can keep cheaters out. Wolverine Blues, Waldo X, and myself are now NS fanatics and will probably be playing quite a bit....

    You want more maps already? I've been playing this for two weeks and I don't even think I've <b>played</b> all the maps! The only one I know well is ns_eclipse, and I'm desperately trying to get used to ns_bast..
