Hello all.. I'm not even sure if this is possible.. But..

How can i bind the function key on my laptop to crouch? My laptop has the function key where the ctrl key should be and my pinkeye starts to cramp up after playing only a few mins.. Anyone?

    <!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->bind f1 +duck<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->
    Replace f1 with anything through to f12

    Get some eye drops for that and wash your hands if you happen to touch them by mistake. It is contagious after all.

    If ctrl is annoying you, go to mouse properties ( in control panel), and trun of "indicate where mouse is by pressing ctrl" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

    I got this alot months ago.

    Guys, actually read what the original post was about. His laptop has a non-standard keyboard layout, where the ctrl key is too hard to hit in the middle of a game. It's not about if Windows is giving the radar blip whenever you press ctrl (which is off by default).

    And TheGuy, this is a Tech Support forum. Not a place for you to take the piss. If you want to do that, take it to Off-Topic

    It appears to me he was referring to the Fn key: <img src="http://mni.mcgill.ca/dgpcentre/crestron/help/hlp_images/kb_fn.jpg" border="0" alt="IPB Image" /> (example found by a quick search)

    NS won't recognize that key; the only way to bind it would be to remap it to something else. I'm not sure whether remapping it is even possible, though; it depends on whether this key actually sends a code to the computer or just acts within the keyboard.

    If it is in fact not an internal key then this article might help you with remapping the key. However, you'll need to find the scan code for your function key.

    And you didn't even come close to answering his question patch so get off your high horse.

    wow... bind f1... thats REALLY annoying to stretch your hand to f1 to crouch??? I recommend you just use "alt" for crouch. its right next to jump, and its within grasp.
