Well, I got a problem...I can't change my weapons with number keys anymore. They make a sound when I press the keys, but nothing happens. The only way I can change weapons, is by binding next weapon to mouse wheel...even then, last weapon key doesn't work binded anywhere.
I tried stuff like : unbind 1 ; bind "1" "slot1" ....etc.
I tried to take all new config.cfg, take off all scripts, reinstalling, playing old versions...nope, always same bug.
I don't get that in other steam games, just ns...my favorite obviously >_<
So...I asked a bit in game, but people never saw prob, too busy...thx in advance

Well no, that's not it...it does that all the time, I feel really noob and slow, especially aliens lol.
It certainly won't be the solution of your problem, but try...
I noticed with xenocide that you press the select weapon slot key and then have to left click once to make it active. This totally threw me off. I'd jump in a pile of marines in combat expecting to xenocide and instead land there and get shot. Is that what your are talking about?

i saved my config.cfg file before install new NS 3.2 .
the previous version (3.2b2) works.
I've got bind "f3" "record 1" so that it overwrites the previous recordings.
I decided to go for Hud_fastswitch 0...and after, when I press weapon slots, I only see red squares, ill add a screen shot.
I tried making a recording, that didn't help hehe, too bad.
I still cant bind previous weapon, only next weapon, and only on mouse wheel...binding it anywhere else, it doesn't respond...even so, I don't want to change weapons with mouse wheel, its way too slow compared to my older config.

What awesome fading with this config...I want it back, and have fun in my favorite fps ever...I hope something will fix it.
Btw, I tried with script, and no script, with new config with old config...and this bug doesn't happen in other steam games...thx again[attachmentid=35609]
What the hell.... that's not normal.
I suggest you try reinstalling
Then do your alias binds, and see if you can reproduce the bug.
Oh, and in other news, try to avoid attaching stuff directly on the forums. Use an image host, like xs.to, or imageshack
and now, everything seems to be fixed, I'm not banned everywhere anymore, when I aim it kills, when I aim bad it doesn't...
I got a little info on that line, seems to be a hook for kind of hacks...weird, I don't remember using hacks or anyone good enough with computers that used my pc to hack on ns. Anyway, that was kinda weird, but now its fixed! ^^

I got in servers for the first time ever, and automatically got banned often...
Listen, I will explain what is really going on here.
You see several cheats used by such game ruining *******s refered to as cheaters/hackers require a setinfo line and the default for a common public one at the time called ecstatic around October 2005 when AMXXBans was being coded for AMXX. Intended to be a CS cheat, it seemed to have worked well in Combat. Since NS didn't (and <i>still</i> doesn't, to my knowledge) have a secure hook checking program whose footprint is updated on a regular basis, and without prior warning, exposing cheaters and banning them on connection (I'm talking about VAC), this simple check was added into AMXX. So what was going on with you, Synapse, in not being able to connect to the servers is simply that the AMXX metamod plugin those server running was autobanning you due to this line in your config.cfg file.
This also leads me to one of two conclusions (since that line doesn't just appear):
1. You are lying and are attempting to cheat yourself.
2. Somehow somebody added that line in your config file.
I trust you, and my instinct tells me anyways that number two is correct. Synapse, do the following: set your config.cfg to READ ONLY. The only way I can think of that line getting there is some evil admin executing some code on your client? If that be the case that is truely sad indeed. Such admins should be banned from running a server in my opinion.
I really don't know how I got that line...oh well now its gone ^^
