2 modes of NS or...

One mode would have shorter games and the other would have longer ones, I like longer games myself, nowdays they are to short with the increased res output, or.... just have it customizeable on speed.

This would make me happy because players could chose if they want long games or short ones.

    One mode would have the regular sized maps. The other mode would have a much larger area of play, huge maps, many more objectives, much more opportunity for the game to go back and forth between the teams. Perhaps double the size of the maps for the longer game mode.

    As it is right now in NS, the maps are more or less balanced for 6v6 gameplay and playable in up to 9v9 games. If you double the size of the maps, perhaps add some kind of non-hive movement structure for aliens, and allow for more gameplay paths for the alien team, then 30 player games would actually be interesting.

    Doubling the map size for source isn't very tangible. It would probably lag a lot.

    Making the map larger wouldn't make longer games more enjoyable for me. I liked the longer games for the trench-like warfare.

    Exactly, How it would shift back and forth a little bit very rapidly. I think increasing the Res output would be the best option to speed gameplay.

    Hmm dunno if this requires a new forum, but!

    I know it will be alot of balancing, but what about 2 kinds of NS:S maps.

    One map balanced for the 12vs12 matches and
    the same map just balanced for the 24vs24 mathces

    what the heck, 12 v 12 is ludicrous let alone 24 v 24
