Just a note for those interested in using this in ANSL, since I've been asked about it several times already: This pack is perfectly legal for ANSL match play, as it doesn't attempt to alter anything covered by consistency.

Thumbs up on the work fana and co.

He wasn't. And his reaction to someone saying that it looked stupid just goes to prove my opinion of the competitive scene. Packs like this are common in Quake 3, due to a lack of tweakable options. NS has options aplenty, turn down the eye candy, and you get something akin to looking at Q3 in "pro player" mode. Which is not pretty to say the least..

Use at the peril of your own enjoyment...

CCC: puzl cleaned up the thread, hence I didn't need to start a new one hence I started posting in this one. Intelligence and logic isn't your strong side is it?

Patch: I've stated time and time again that this pack isn't for people who care about their NS looking good. I'm starting to worry about the literacy rate on this forum. You know what I'm going to do for you? Just for you, since I'm such a nice guy? I'm going to add some color to the first post so maybe the next idiot who comes in here posting ish like you might see it or choose not to ignore it. Miracles do happen, they say...

3.2 final edition of the pack is in the works, this time with a separate installer version.

I'm guessing the negative feedback you've gotten in this thread is because of your attitude rather than the mod itself.

Quoted for truth. I don't care what purpose it serves, as long as it isn't breaking consistancy and isn't intended to provide any kind of exceptional advantage, post away. But don't get an attitude when people comment on your work. Honestly I don't know what you expected; it does look horrible, even if it serves some other purpose you should've been fully expecting someone to say so. We here in the customization forum have a long, proud history of good humor and constructive criticism, and don't need your smart attitude. If some idiot makes a stupid comment or hasn't read your post, ignore it like everyone else does. Doing otherwise is just poking the trolls we happily ignore.

A quick question: I don't really care if people decide to use this on pub servers to give them an advantage, but in matches are all players not required to be using the default crosshair sets, models, sounds and assets in general? Otherwise, what a farce it is.

mp_consistency is 1 in all matches and practices. Anything that isn't affected by consistency is allowed.

A farce? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" /> As usual you make comments that only show your ignorance about everything related to competitive gaming.

That said, I can certainly see the problematic "fine line" issues. Especially the late addition of silent reload and weapon draw sounds is teetering on the edge and if leagues deem it illegal I see no problems with just removing them from the pack. Personally I don't think it's over the edge.

Check your English dictionary, fana, "otherwise" means "if that is not the case". Now I just wanna know how much of this pack would be null if mp_consistency was set to 1.

Everything in the pack works with consistency 1. I assumed you already knew. I assumed you would've read the readme.txt before asking questions. Now do you mind not wasting my time with this pointless banter?

You assumed wrong. If I'm asking about the nature of what it contains I obviously haven't downloaded it yet, have I?

Anyway, if all of that can pass a consistency check then it IS a farce in my opinion. You've basically got barebones HUDs, custom crosshairs, semi-transparent sprites, removed sounds. I fully expect you to try to debate my opinion as being incorrect (when opinions are neither right nor wrong) but regardless I'm not gonna say anymore since this is a [rel] thread.
