Sores...

Computing comes with a cost!
It's painful for me turn my head 90 degrees and then look up. My fingers get very sore as well. Um... I guess my neck cracks a lot more than most people as well. I mean I can tilt it and I hear cracks. I also get very sleepy and tired in classes where I don't have much interest, even as other students are listening. I tend also to overanalyze situations such as figuring out what to say to someone more than saying it. Then I get tired even with 8 hours of sleep. Like at 3 or 4 pm I get tired and sleepy.

Must be from those 15 hour marathons of CS, NS and whatevers. Perhaps I need to quit the comp to save my life.

Ever consider getting into the gym? I used to be pretty rickety for a teenager, but it was largely due to inactivity. I started lifting around age 18 and started taking it really seriously around 19. I haven't had regular aches and pains like that in a long, long time.

Just do it, I say. Everyone should. Some days I feel like I'm invincible, and I can't believe I wasn't more interested in my personal fitness in high school and was perfectly fine with just sitting inside, getting baked, eating a whole tray of brownies, and playing WoW.

    edit: also, 1001 GET!

Convert your wheelie chair into a portable, easily-accessible toilet. You don't even need to worry about disposing of the waste, because you're on a wheelie chair - you can just wheel away!

I used to get those symptoms back in school too but they disappeared after I finished and started university. To be honest, most of them sound a lot like stress related symptoms (I was getting stressed in school thanks to the exams and my parents not being in the best of health at the time).

Cracking from muscles usually means they're strung tight and when you turn your neck that 'snapping' is the sound of air bubbles trapped between the taught muscles getting popped (or so someone told me :o ). Feeling tired all the time is often also a symptom of stress.

As zig said however, excercise can help... it burns off all that unused adrenaline (stress is caused when your body goes into fight or flight response but no physical action follows to purge all the chemicals pumped into your bloodstream by the reaction.)
Also, most people eat pretty cruddy diets, I'd suggest maybe getting an appointment with a nutrionalist to have a look at what you're stuffing yourself with or if that's too much then just check out one of the many, many, many books out there on the subject including such things as 'you are what you eat' or 'the diet doctors' which tend to be less dry reading than the usual stuff on this lil subject matter :3

Seeing as I don't know what your diet is like I can't really give you any real tips though perhaps things like; Don't eat before you go to bed, give your body some time to digest by eating an hour or two at least before going beddy byes. If you don't then it just lies in your gut and causes merry hell with your digestive system which can stress the body out, especially if done on a regular basis.
Fizzy drinks, caffiene and alcohol also cause a stressing effect on the body so the less you take, the better :p

A good chiropractor could make a few adjustments to your neck and you'd feel like a new person.

Diet and exercize for the sleep issues, plus common sense stuff like no eating or drinking 3 to 4 hours prior to bedtime etc. Your feeling sleepy around 3 or 4 is more than likely a sugar issue - not saying you have diabetes, just a dietary issue (something's lacking).

A sleep study may be in order...

my TV used to be to the far right of my PC, and I used to have bad neck pain from turning to watch it while my body faced straight at the PC. the funny part is, it took me a long time to realize what was causing it. besides that, I've been relatively free of PC-related pain.
