<div class="IPBDescription">Just some things i think.</div>This may be a little bit of work but i think it would be cooler. When your a marine and you build something it shouldn't just appear. It should start off as just a ring/objective point when you get there your marine can use e on this ring and start to build. But instead of it just being there it starts off as some metal etc and is slowly built into an object and after every few seconds lets say 4/5 you lose a certain percent of the res that it needs to make it... lets just say it takes 20 res for a cc if you spend a few seconds on it you lose 3/4 res depending on how much materials you use.... giving the option to HALF BUILD!!!!... Also there should be an animation for the marine while building for example hands working on it etc instead of just the hands dissapearing. Now for the alien building once again they should aim on the floor and deploy their building but once again instead of it just appearing they lay an egg on it or something and the egg slowly grows.... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":0" border="0" alt="wow.gif" /> sounds cool i know i know.... Now for a model bug i think that should be fixed... When aliens look down they should not do a headspin it makes it look funny <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> Also when the aliens/marines look down when running they can see their legs or pincers etc. A non-laggy radar would be pretty sweet and last but not least.... Outside maps.... For once can the marines have an advantage of open area!!!! Lerks would be used significantly more if they could actually fly in open areas and not like a caged up bird... And onos's would charge down streets and fight marines head to head giving the marines a fair advantage and giving the onos's charge more of a use. Also for the super skulkers they can use the ally ways and broken building to hide in and to slay marines that want to get height advantages on onos's roaming the streets. If you want an example of what kind of maps look on half life 2 maps like that... outside areas etc. And i know what your all saying where will the cc go etc... These maps are played on CO only!!!! and the armory etc isnt a little cylindracal object it is a building where you walk inside and press e on a box and it gives you ammo making the game more realistic.... And im not saying a huge building just like a room sized building etc
Other people may not like these ideas but when someone told me about natural selection for the first time i was imaging flying around in the high skys and swooping on marines or stomping into a room full of ammo humping marines as a big rhino (onos) and just slaying them
(also i think the bodies should rip apart <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />. and marines can get impailed on an onos's horn and fall off if he moves his head around rapidly <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />)

also, i read others posts and tweak them to make them better.... I believe the aliens view should not be from inside the mouth when their eyes are animated ontop of their head <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" /> Make it so the eyes are ontop of the mouth and you can see the skulks snout.... Also For grappling with onos's i vote yes but with an exeption the HA must be upgraded to a tank like armor very powerful and big and its not just clicking up close that activates the grapple its a certain button and then you tap 2 buttons quickly to fight and whoever wins comes up with a cool ###### animation that will give whoever wins an advantage ( eg. if the marine wins the onos will be knocked back very far away with at least a 20 metre distance giving the marine time to slay it with his hmg (as it is already damaged from the knock back, and if the alien wins the marine will be knocked to the ground close to him and if the onos uses stomp he can crush the ha killing him instantly.)
And to go on with my outside idea onos being able to have skulks hold onto him would be great
edit: i reckon also that skulks when climbing in vents should bend and have more of a acrobatic skeleton their sort of pointy with all their movements <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skulk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::skulk::" border="0" alt="skulk.gif" /> *climbing up a wall* <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skulk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::skulk::" border="0" alt="skulk.gif" /> *does a backflip* <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skulk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::skulk::" border="0" alt="skulk.gif" />
Another reason could be that most of the ideas have already been discussed on other threads. Please try to use the search before posting your "new" ideas.
EDIT: i have now tried to read your entire post, however i still do not fully understand what your idea(s) is..
I am sure if i spent some weeks decoding your post some great ideas might indeed show up. However as Demm said "most of the ideas have already been discussed on other threads." especially regarding the outdoor maps.
Your suggestions regarding animation and different types of Encounters between Marines and lifeforms seem very unlikely and hard to program. However would be highly usable in an Alternate Natural-Selection campaign (Single Player)
