Hello all, Its my first post since the site closed. I have no idea if this has been brought up or not. But I was wondering if you guys would think this would be pretty intresting to have in ns2. Anywho enough blabbering.

I always thought it would be cool to be able to spectate the commander when you die. Thus even watching demos/videos of someone comming is beyond unbearrable. Maybe both of thos would be a nice add to ns2 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

If I were comm I would be a little worried about people constantly criticizing my moves, but I guess that's what mute is for.

A very nice idea, though.

that could go the same for just watching someone on the marine team not hearing a skulk around a corner and dying.

its all the same

Can you take demos through commanding? My awesome commanding days are over(since I rarely play NS, and I rarely play marines, and of course I rarely-rarely-rarely com since I rarely play marines which is a rare chance to play marines and command at the same time), BUT there are other decent commanders and maybe they'll make some videos of themselves commanding.

Well I Suppose Some People Would Like To Spec The Comm, But I Would Only End Up Shouting At the Screen.
Like " No Not There You F*&$ing NOOB!!."
Or Maybe " Drop The F&$"ing TF On Top Of It.... NOW!!!."

omg for hltv it would be worse, then in like the night cup or other matches whenever u leave all the people specing will like lecture u, or make fun of u lol, it would be horrible tbh

but im sure its not allowed for a reason, it also must be really hard to do, save the time on getting that, and make a flying onos...please?

i think spectating the comm would be awesome. sure some people would abuse the commander for whatever decisons he makes, but he would also get a lot of constructive critisizm, which will help him learn.

also, if you have a really good comm, you can watch him and learn some tips and tricks for when you comm next. it would help a lot of new people learn the game faster, and understand the role of the commander better.

i think the good points definately outweigh the bad, the question is, how hard would it be for the devs to implement it?

From my experience, you need to be fairly confident to be a Comm anyway,So the alledged heat you would take from other people critisizing you as a comm, shouldnt be too hard to handle. and i dont see why this shouldnt be implemented.
It's always been interesting to know how people do act when they are in the commchair.
I'd love to see this in NS2

For those who want to see a demo of an awesome comm : go there!
You just have to click on "télécharger"
There's a pack of three demos on 3.1 with 3 points of vue during a pcw that opposed Insane vs Knife.
2 demos with tutu's point of vue as marine and fade and one with mike's point of vue as comm.
The pcw wasn't that interesting, but it can give an idea to some of you how plays a great comm.
Enjoy.
