an INFESTED water world. whats the word on water anyhoo (no pun intended)? can aliens swim better, stronger, faster (no reference to million dollah man intended) than the marines? or not?
I'm actually considering doing an undersea lab that's partially flooded as an NS map. I know I'd have to think a little bit more about balance issues like aliens having the upper hand in the water, but I like the idea and I think I may just do it
Take it from a guy who's done a lot of watery maps. Lots of water = problems, both for logistics and user performance. I loooove water-based maps and environments too (hence, de/flf_deep6 and chum), but they can kill framerates faster than anything if you aren't extraordinarily careful.
Well it wouldn't even have to have too much water in it... just have glass domes under water or something as a colony type thing that's on the bottom of the ocean or something.
