    It turns out it was:

    Turkey, chicken/beef, some potato salad, two other kinds of salads, the crackling pork rinds thing, and a lot of beer.

    It wasn't a barbeque at all, which was disappointing as hell. That's more for Christmas day, though. This was for christmas eve.

    I think its going to be prawn cocktail to start, then asparagus soup, then onto the turkey 'wid all tha trimmins';
    roast potatoes, sprouts, carrot, red cabbage, some pigs in a blanket, cranberry sauce.

    pics to follow.

    Steak. Big ol' slab o' meat. Juicy, tasty, even low in fat. And doesn't confine a family member to the kitchen for an entire afternoon. Everyone wins!

    Whatever mum cooks ^^

    Seen some turkey in the freezer, stuffing, ludicrous amounts of veg (urgh, healthy stuff...) actually, about 4 different types of meat, pigs in blankets (that's a sausage wrapped in bacon, and then either oven cooked with the turkey (mmm, healthy <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />), or shallow fried), loads of stuff tbh.

    Oh, and about a few hours supply of wifebeater (Stella act-a-tw*t)

    I'm probly gonna have a microwave carton of szechuan noodles because I have to work while my family gathers to eat prime rib.

    Aw that sucks Caboose.

    Showtime rotisserie turkey (it's actually pretty good!) and all the trimmings.

    Plus the whole familia is coming down to my place, since my house is actually close and large enough for get-togethers.

    Christmas Eve dinner was turkey and dressing, candied yams, mashed potatoes, green beans w/bacon, cranberry sauce, and homemade biscuits. Pumpkin pie, N.Y. cheesecake, and homemade fudges (chocolate and butterscotch) rounded it all out.

    Will post Christmas dinner laters. <img src="http://www.ibparcade.com/style_emoticons/default/dec_2033.gif" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

    Very nice mel. Is that Manchester, N.H. or Manchester, U.K.?
  • MelatoninMelatonin Babbler Join Date: 2003-03-15 Member: 14551Members, Constellation
    why thank you (seems quite similar to your own christmas eve dinner from what I can tell?)
    Manchester UK is the family home (ive actually moved out again since putting that location).
    also, missing from the pics was the prawn cocktail and soup starters, but im sure your imaginations can fill those gaps.

    A slice of bread with a slice of turkey<i>(it's not from a whole turkey, it's the thin slices of smoked turkey you get at the food-market).</i> and mayonnaise.

    Sad, I couldn't even enjoy it with two slices of bread, but I only had one slice of bread.

    Yes, I have no family or friends(living with me anyway).

    Just a couple of <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pudgy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::gorge::" border="0" alt="pudgy.gif" /> s that I raised and they raised me.

    Christmas day found us eating lasagna, garlic toast, Caesar salad, and some ham for the kiddies who hate pasta. Oh yeah, eggnog too!

    Hokay, now that the day is up, I can start to recall what was eaten on that day, since about 3 hours after we ate, I was in bed shivering after whatever the hell I've caught flared up bad.

    Turkey, beef, chicken, ham, pigs in blankets, roasties, new pots, oven roasted pot, Yorkshire puddings, about 6 different veg, 3 different sauces, a couple of different types of gravy, stuffing, bacon.

    Gawd, I feel full again.

    *sneezes*
