[Mrel]Half Life Sentry Turret

This is quite a simple job, even for a conversion. All i done was extract the model & sounds out of Half Life's GCF files, rename model & sounds, and convert sounds to new frequency. I done this cause i remember once upon a time Fuzzy releasing conversion of the HL sentry, but i never found a working link. Since it was such a simple job i done it myself.

All credits go to Valve Software.

Seems to be broken to me. I do mean the file itself, not the link. It gives me a "unknown or damaged file" error.

Interesting, the zip opened up fine here after i downloaded it, so i can't see whats the problem.
You sure you using winzip to open it, and its the latest version?

I'm using WinRar, not WinZip. But I tried downloading it with "DownloadThemAll", and it gave me a "Server Error". Seems I never downloaded the file at all. Hence it gave me the error.

The file does open in WinRAR.

You have to copy and paste the link into a new window. If you just click the link, it seems like it's downloading, but the filesize is 0 bytes.

This is a pretty cool conversion by the way. Good job.

Thanks, seems to work now. Mind if I upload this to HL2Files.com? And do you have any screenshots by any chance?

No need to ask me for permissions where to upload, this conversion was pretty simple, i done almost no work at all except rename a few files, then convert the sounds so they work properly.

    And heres a screenie.. <a href="http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/6219/image1xk7.png" target="_blank">http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/6219/image1xk7.png</a>

The link works fine in here, do as per instructions and open in a new window, not in a existing one! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/turret.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::sentry::" border="0" alt="turret.gif" />

You did, but your link(or any of the mirrors i found), didn't work so i done a re-release(and included the soundpack with it, since i released a soundpack for your release the last time around). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Looks like i have to make update to this release cause after i looked at HL Sdk's code for the HL sentry, i discovered i have been using wrong firing sounds.

[edit]I uploaded the update wich adds the correct firing sounds(well this depends are you playing with or without the hidef pack, since hidef changes the mp5 sounds, thus the turret sounds diffrent too). However it seems Brinkster is malfunctioning atm as all i get is a corrupt archive when i try to dl it myself, ill try again tomorrow, but atleast until further notice i seemingly can't distribute a update.
