<div class="IPBDescription">regarding wallwalk</div>OK,
So this has probably been requested at some point, but just in case it hasn't:
Two new control keys for skulking Skulks! The first one being the one to disable wallwalk - making it easier to make the jump on marines if you're hiding above a doorway on the wall rather than the ceiling - as it is now in NS, you kind of have to "walk" through that small distance that inside which the skulk stays stuck to the wall, before the wallwalk lets you "free". It's not a big area and you usually get off the wall pretty quick, but
a) I'm not very good in NS
b) coming back to the game after a long break, I've noticed some marine players have really become twitch aiming gods
... so even that extra fraction of a second, gained by falling straight down, could be helpful.
The second control would be for a sort of a wall pounce. It wouldn't have to be very strong, but should basically be of the same strength than the basic jump. Only if you did this from a ceiling or wall downwards, it would obviously propel you down faster, than if you were just falling.
Oh, and about the leap attack in the game right now - if I recall correctly it doesn't always work correctly, when you're wallwalking? If so, in NS2 it should be fixed, of course.
These fixes wouldn't necessarily require new controls, though, they might just as well work with the jump and crouch keys, for instance.
Some might see this as a sort of a "just make the Skulk able to kill faster plzkthx" idea, but I defend it as a sound idea by the following basis:
a) skulks can push "downwards" with their legs to jump, so surely they can do the same from a wall or ceiling.
b) skulks should also be able to simply let go of a wall or ceiling instead of having to "wallwalk away from it" which basically just seems as if the wall is gripping on the skulk and not the other way around.

Way back when, you had to hold a key down -to- wallwalk, and it was flipped to be the unstickifier... I wanna say it's CTRL, but I could be wrong.
Crouching will disable wall walk for as long as you're holding it.
Jumping while looking away at a wall does a little wall pounce about equal in strength to jumping.
I'm betting both of these controls will be present in NS2 if the skulk remains.
Additionally, you can hold walk and it becomes about twice as hard to fall off a wall, to make traversing harder geometry easier...
ctrl to drop
space + direction to mini jump off
and shift to become super sticky and navigate courners and rough terrain
Somehow I have missed these - I always map different keys (I usually use the keypad instead of WASD). Will have to check for the drop key. Leaping from the wall I tried yesterday, that worked fine. Will have to try jumping a bit more.
