Long time no see. My name used to be 'eediot' but the forums screwed it up and the admins won't switch it back. Yeah, I don't get it either, but just another incentive to not post here much.

I'm just wasting time before I leave on holiday tomorrow, going to get trashed for a week [graduated from high school a few months ago, 'schoolies' for any aussies out there] so I can't do anything interesting tonight.

It's interesting how many names I recognise; DOOManiac, CForrester, NEO_Phyte, Private Coleman, Discozombie, Mantrid, Testament, Quaunaut, Petco, TychoCelchuuu, Lanfear, Sid, Lolfighter, Caboose, Redford... and these just on the front page of offtopic. What's with you guys, do you get paid to stick around? It's been a year.

    Well, I missed these forums so much that I started using IRC and hanging out in #naturalselection until that faithful day when the forums went semi-public on good ol' port 90.

    And I never really missed the forum, once I bought an SA account [december 2004] I slowly moved away from NS until the downtime, when I left completely. I'm just here tonight because I have time to spare and wanted to play NS until I remembered it wasn't 1.04 anymore...

    Mostly I'm just surprised that almost every single forum regular is here and posting. There are a few that are missing, but still. Fair effort.

    Well, it is one of the best forums out there. Good moderators, good rules, generally mature community. Of course, I don't know how things are outside of Off Topic. Thats a scary place, and it'd take a whole lot of convincing to get me to go there.

    And welcome back eediot. You could probably change your name to "ediot" or something; I think it was the multiple letters in a row that were the same that messed up your old name. Although ediot doesn't have the same ring to it. Do you mind if I call you ediot?

    It's hard to say why I came back, it's more just something in the back of my head told me "It is time." and I did along with so many others. But like Mantrid said, this forum is one of the best of all the ones I've experienced. The biggest part of that being the No Tolerance policy on E-Drama. Every forum I've seen since this one was plagued by it. Maybe it's here and I just don't know it.

    i saw a retarded flash movie with NS stuff in it, and i wondered, "hmm.. i wonder if people still play NS."

    and then i checked the NS website.. and it was up!

    and then, with a flicker of foolish hope in my eyes... i checked the forums... and they were up!

    I had the link in my bookmarks folder so I just kept randomly clicking it out of boredom. But I never got the email so it didn't do any good <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

    Chrono told me about the forums being back up for constellation members ( <3 ) but my constellation status disappeared as well D:
