To answer your question on my post , i lost a major part of my first map ,ns_smugglers, sort of what happend to that other guy,BadMofo. Then 3 weeks later, after getting a new hard drive and the energy to get going again , my mobo just died on me. Feeling cursed , i just left everything there , till i could get myself a proper pc! took a while , but better late then never...<!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Excellent stuff tommy - love the detail work on the ceilings (aesthetically pleasing, and also serves as ambush nooks for skulks, I'd imagine), and the lighting is nice too. And third nipple of fury models always pwn <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
in the last pic, add a lot more shadows. The diagonal outcroppings on the ceiling/wall look like nice places for Skulks to hide, so make them darker so they don't stick out so much :F

i would agree that the hive looks somewhat out of place. the lighting does not seem to be consistent with the surrounding area. and the infestation ends abruptly as well. some wonderful structure there, but i really do think that there needs to be a bit more transitiion between the hive and the rest of the room.
If memory serves..... there was a topic: Strife Command Pics, with the laser thingie on the map, those, aswell as this ones just pwn.... i can´t really see somthing bad placing or bad implemented.... just brilliant =D
It may be just me, but the Luancher.mdl's seem a bit our of place- I certainly would think that the Architech would avoid putting large missle luanchers <i>INSIDE</i> a spaceship/space station, unless they're aiming out the side, that is. It really isn't a big deal, but your map looked SO good it made me work HARD to find somthing I didn't like <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->.
So, since, when this is finished, it's CLEARLY going to be added to the next official map pack ^_^... I was wondering if you could fill us in on the setting and backstory for this map?

re hive: ill be adding more alien infestation around and more details later so hopefully it wont feel out of place - also may remove that fake green lighting near hive, heh.
re missile launchers: i agree it doesnt make much sense having them inside, but the room there is supposed to act as a storage chamber for them. i may just move them to a more believable location later.
right now im adding vents, and then it'll be playable <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> .
