Help: Mouse 'n' borad ...

everytime I see one oder more smoke effects (e.g Resnozzle) my Mouse and my Keyboard freeze but the game continues!

Its really anoying! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/marine.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::marine::" border="0" alt="marine.gif" />

My System:

AMD XP2800+
Windows XP SP2
1,5 GB RAM DDR
ATI x1600Pro (newest drivers)
Mouse and Keyboard are USB!

    Does it perma freeze or is it only a small delay?
    What motherboard do you have and are your USB port drivers up to date?
    Are your mobo drivers up to date?
    last but not least are you running on direct3d or OpenGL?

    I've never heard of this problem, but i doubt its the USB drivers because it seems like a computer/video card issue, but im not really sure. I'm stumped.

    I get that as well, its very anoying.

    AMD AM2 3800+
    Windows XP SP2
    1 GB Ram DDR2
    ATI X800 XT PE
    Mouse and Keyboard are gaming ones and are USB G5 and G15

    Well I see you both have, an ATi card.

    I had an ATi Card this used to be my setup

    AMD Athlon64 3500+ @ 2.22ghz: Cache: L2/512K
    ASUS 256MB 9800XT @ Core: 411Mhz - Memory: 728 Mhz
    USB Logitec mouse
    and a non-usb keyboard and i never had the issue


    Are you both using the latest official ATi card drivers? If so try rolling them back to a older driver ( could be a bug with the newer drivers. And if your not using offical ATi drivers, use them. )

    Also if you have VSync on, turn it off. Also turn off fastwrite

    Recording a demo while playing has fixed this problem for some.
