Aliens can build structures on cielings and walls, would open up some new gameplay strats, and would add to the infestation look.
Would be pretty creepy to see a whole bunch of OC's and DC's on a cieling and then a skulk leaps out of them ! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

At first I thought it would be sucky, as I'm generally opposed to any mod that alters gameplay... but it was kinda cool. Hearkened back to Walls of Lame without being TOO lame.
Anothe little bit i thought of. .. infestation grows or diminishes with the progress of aliens.
for example if the aliens are dominating the maps, then there will be infestation all over the walls, and "broken" marine stuctures would be all covered in the alien theme.
that brings up one other thing. if the alians destroy a marine structure then it woudl be there broke or destroyed and the commander/troops would have to dismantle it or something before they could build there again.
there are some downfalls
chambers would be built somewhere where marines cant find them,
finding an sc is not an easy task without scan but imagine if it was hidden under a bridge
how would a marine get it without sieging
i thought about this idea before although i think it would be awesome

you wouldnt be able to build under a bridge as you would need line of sight or (depending on which system you use) you would need to be able to touch the that particular surface, and since gorges can't wall climb this wouldnt be an issue <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
without correct line of sight a gorge would only be able to build on the side of the bridge at most. Plus mappers can put in no build zones if it becomes an issue .

thats where teamwork comes in <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> skulk to wall climb+ gorge to build. Now that would be fun and cool.
The Gorge's benefit would be that he builds structures without infestation, and he can build them a lot faster than the Controller type Alien.
My vote is GOOD IDEA, but i have a tipő for ya man. the Build on WALLs ? must be infested ? or a normal walls avadaible for build ?
