<div class="IPBDescription">It has a use!</div> Don't underestimate the power of your shiny sharp-bladed third weapon. The knife is very quick and very powerful!

If there is no alien or offesnse chamber around, using the knife to take of enemy structures in 0 seconds.

Also against Ono's! You may laugh but I've gotten three or four onos kills with a knife. Especially when you are behind them.

So when your HMG runs out and you've popped your pistol off, switch to your knife and make some minced alien meat.

    i've gotten 4 ono kinfe kills to date, because they're busy biting the turrets. I have also been knifed as an ono.

    I've gotten four knife kills in a row <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> . I've posted that all over, it just feels so good.
    Two skulks in mid-leap, and two lerkers in mid-flight (this of course was after I killed 4 others with LMG and pistol). Lerkers are really easy to knife, as most players royally suck as lerker.

    We still lost that game too, even though I held MAJ on bast for 5 minutes on my own without any support from the commander. Only time I've ever lost on bast as marine, and that was before I got my server up and running properly.

    Anyway, use that knife! Oh, and the welder is even better on structures; my friend kaosdrone killed 2 offensive chambers and cleared out MAJ using only his welder. I'm serious.

    btw...knives are quite useful. after u unload ur whole lmg clip into something then pistol whip it empty and it still ain't dead..why not use a 30 dmg, 2 slash a second unlimited ammo weapon called a knife? i have gotten in quite a few scenerios where this happened and was going desperate with a wildly slashing knife and got a kill. up to date...i have never knifed an onos but did to a few lower lvl aliens. wats the point of going to knife an onos when u can stand behind your dying turrets, reload and try for another clip. knives are for desperate measures or just pure pride.

    PS: in CS...the knife is very fun since you can stab and -55 HP from him. either ambush one (no motion tracking u kno <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> , get him frum behind, or my favorite....unload ur clip and weaken him, retreat and wait behind a tight corner while the noob expects to chase u down and kill u...pop out and give it to him!

    The real art of CS knifing is using solely the knife to take people down.. better when you camp and take a group of three from behind - knifing all. Even better when you storm a group of three from the front - knifing all. And if worse comes to worse, pull out your grenade and prime it while standing next to them.. bound to finish them off.

    or more on topic, the knife is a bit crap imo, Ive got quite a few kills with it, but it reaaaly is a last resort.

    i was playing as commander for marines one time, forget the map. an onos charged in to my lone base while i was directing my men to kill a hive. he barreled straight past the turrets and started hitting my CC. I ejected to find that no turrets were firing on him. i got behind him, crouched, and held down the knife button (i had no ammo left and only 40 hp).... a few seconds later he died, and the CC was alive with no hit point bars left <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    You reminded me of the game I was in last night, I announced that the entire game the only weapon I was going to use was a knife. I did pretty goog at killing everything exept Fades and Onos, onos Killed me to quick even though I kept dodging him, and fades ran away when I ran at them...
