I'm getting (on most maps), 20fps.
System:
Geforce 7900GT, 256mb.
AMD 4600+
3gb memory
300gb free space
XP Pro x64, SP2
1280x1024, 32bit
Drivers are up to date.
DirectX mode.
VSync is off.
OpenGL mode doesn't work. I get what seems to be 1fps, and tons of screen tearing.
In HL2, all settings high, 2xaa.. I get 110 fps average on Sourceforts (tons of graphics objects)
Something isn't right here..

NS is designed to run in OpenGL. It shouldn't hardly work at all in Direct3D mode. That's where you should start looking. Maybe nVidia decided that supporting a nine year old game isn't really important anymore? Try rolling back your drivers to a previous version, checking the nVidia forums for problems with HL mods in recent driver releases and maybe even trying a fresh install of Windows.
Video driver problems are often very tricky to solve, and most of the time it's just easiest to wipe the system clean and start over. Maybe switching to a previous driver version will work, but many times when I've updated my video drivers, had a problem, and tried to switch back, it didn't fix the problem. But reinstalling windows and installing the original driver version did fix the problem.
Maybe someone here knows a way to completely remove a video driver?

Try rolling back your drivers to a previous version..Just what i was going to say. Usually thats what I do first if I have problems with video.
Yea, I do.. it's a real pain in the ######.
I'll give it a shot.
I can't see that nvidia would purposefully break a game..
I'm going to update them before I go back. They were just updated two weeks ago.
Edit: Driver update fixed it.. I now get a constant 100 fps (developer 0)
Thats nVidia's weak point, they ditch older software with there new updates... I too had to roll back my drivers to play NS.

I updated to the latest version, and NS works fine. Makes me think there was a bug in the old one I had.
