Meh... That hallway was way to predictable, I was prepared for what would come. Still a good show though ^^
I hope they can keep up the originality of the scare effects. So it's not going to turn into Doom3. Where behind every door you automaticly shoot the shotgun, because there's a baddy there trying to be scary <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Oooooook then. 7 pages worth of posts for me to read after i've posted this.
My keys keep unbinding themselves! I'm standing there, where you get the grenades, about 60 seconds into the demo, and I realise I can't walk backwards. "Hmm, weird" I think. So I bring up the Key Config menu and it says
BACK - ? (UNBOUND)
Eh!? - I ponder. I put it back to D and then re-enter the game to find that Zoom has now unbound itself.
Repeat the above process and revert the key back to normal. But this time, as I hit "RESUME" - kicked back to desktop!
I know this game is supposed to be scary but messing with peoples keys is beyond me.
I'll re-try the demo later, too bright in here at the moment and the glare annoys me. (Hmm, just like when I was playing through Doom 3.)
Downloading now, I hope this has the same effect on me that the doom3 alpha had when it got leaked <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Maybe it's the fact that I'm on a laptop and, thusly, can't see the corners of my screen well, but I didn't find it really scary...at all. I just always shot the little girl/other apparitions to make them splinter into pieces. The only interesting part was the other soldiers actually taking cover (though I'd like to know: at the part once you get the grenades; does the soldier always tip that bookshelf over?).
On that note: anyone know how I can make my entire laptop lcd screen visible at once. The colors seem to get darker close to te top.

That one guy dosnt always tip it over, they all will. I made some of the guys from the helicopter part chase me back there and one of them tipped it over. They also tip over pop machines and use them for cover. Very slick.

These guys are intelligent enough to know if they can close the distance safely and with cover. Sometimes they'll actually fall back a good ways to get a better shot. The coolest example was this. Just before the helicopter part in that area. I sniped the guy across the area with the Nailgun. The other guy below ran off under me. So I head downstairs. I head for the double doors. The moment I stick my head outside I hear the sound of a nade rolling at my feet. I run back but lose most of my armor. Then I head outside and start scanning the area and alas nothing. I move out into the open then WHAM he puts a good 10rd burst into me and I drop like a stone.
The dismemberment is really kickass aswell. I've had a prox nade blow off some guy's lower legs and removed heads with the nades aswell.
Also try playing this without using the railgun it makes it alot harder and much more interesting
