<div class="IPBDescription">Yes please.</div>
<a href='http://www.dual-soft.com/doomds/' target='_blank'>DooM DS</a>

I have a DS, and I really love it, and now they are doing homebrew projects on it? I am thrilled to see this sort of thing taking off with both of the new handhelds.

This project looks more ambitious though. They are actually going to remake it in 3d. And alot of the stuff the team has put out so far looks really good. If only I had some sort of skills I would volunteer in a heartbeat to help out.

Oh well, I plan on keeping an eye on it. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I've still got my old GBA flash cart, so I'll be glad to use it for DS homebrew. Suppose I'll have to get a DS first, though..

    Is this the first example of homebrew on the DS?

    so happy to see that as a ds owner, and nah, this isnt the first homebrew, just that this is proally the most ambitious project since the beginning of ds

    I feel this tuely is a call for celebration.

    A great game being remade by true fans (rather than a money grabbing company that prefers to sell shoddy ports)

    Unfortunately that GBA flashcart likely won't help. You'll need to get the DS mini-cart adapter thing. When running a game from the GBA slot, most of the DS' 'higher brain functions' shut down, to conserve battery life. :b

    That's a shame. Anyway: SCUMMVM DS!

    Pity that there won't be enough room for the talkies, or the Monkey Island CD audio.

    Sweet!
    I hope these projects pan out.

    Actually, you probably could fit the CD audio if you compress it into OGG format. That's what I've done with the PSP SCUMMVM and it's fantastic (though having the parrot in the above image unexpectedly squawk didn't do me any favours. With headphones on, in the dead of night, it's just a bad idea).

    Maybe it'll use a Play-Yan type thing to get on the DS.
