Does it work like health?
I don't remember completely, but if the acid rocket does 50 damage, does it take a fade 4(5) acid rockets to take off that heavy armor suit? Or is armor health different than real health?

yes, armor health is different then normal health.

Armor takes a % of the damage to its self, and the remaning damage is delt to your health pool. I forget the precents for normal armor and HA.

HA marine's armor takes 95% of the dmg into the armor and only 5% of that dmg will hurt the marine as long as he has armor.

normal infantry with lvl 3 armour upgraded spawn with 90 pts of armour, so HA marines will have a total of 290 pts of armour.

toss a few welders around, and the aliens will start to realize of whats coming up ahead.

I also believe that damage delt to armor is reduced by 1/2, so if you take that 50 point acid rocket, your HP takes a 2 point hit, and your armor takes a 24 point hit.

110 points, actually. Fifty is the base, increments of twenty per upgrade. Thirty for Heavy Armor it seems, the base being 200.

Yes, I know it absorbs some of the damage, but I was wondering if it lost "health" like your real health?

Just to keep it simple, I do a 100 damage attack to an HA with 200 armor (unupgraded). That means he will be left with 95/105 H/A?

3 acid rockets takes out a marine with no heavy armor , i have yet to find out how many on a heavy armor, i so far got to 5 without killing him, i feel there should be a upgrade chamber that increases the damage for prime attacks for aliens

Good idea. You are trying to drive people away, right?

They already explained it well enough, just read through it a couple of more times if you didn't get it...

Yes, your armor gets depleted like health. In addition to making some damage disappear, your armor points absorb some of the damage that would normally go straight to your health points if you had no armor. If hit enough you can run completely out of armor.

    Welders repair armor.
