<div class="IPBDescription">Remember Torus Trooper?</div> <a href='http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/windows/gr_e.html' target='_blank'><img src='http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/windows/gr_1l.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' /></a>
(It looks much better in motion)
It's another freeware shmup by Kenta Cho, who made <a href='http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/windows/tt_e.html' target='_blank'>Torus Trooper</a>, but like all of his other games, it has a twist: You use a gamepad with two sticks (any Dual Shock knockoff will do), with one stick moving your ship and the other aiming your weapon. There's also a "double play" mode, with two ships connected by a line with a turret in the middle, each controlled by a stick (or wasd and tfgh if you suck).
For those without a gamepad, there is a "normal mode" with more traditional controls which will work on a keyboard and the dual ship mode works well on a keyboard if you have another player and your keyboard doesn't suck.
Each mode other than normal works naturally with two players and the double play mode practically requires it (you can do it alone, but it'll make your head explode), so you should definitely get a friend over to try it if you can.
Don't forget that the same guy has made a bunch of <a href='http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/index_e.html' target='_blank'>other games</a> that you should play, especially <a href='http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/windows/p47_e.html' target='_blank'>PARSEC47</a> and <a href='http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/windows/rr_e.html' target='_blank'>rRootage</a>.
Make sure you post your high scores, so that I may crush them with my enormous e-wang
Also, I'm linking to <a href='http://www18.big.or.jp/~hikoza/Prod/index_e.html' target='_blank'>Warning Forever</a> before anybody tells me that I should play it.

I'll check this out, looks good
Because this is even better and more addictive than torus trooper.
Dual Ship mode, with only one player is fun <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Twin stick and double play (using analog sticks) mode are really where it's at, though.
Edit: God damn stupid piece of crap forums... anyway
My current high score in twin stick mode is 5560935. Has anybody beat it yet?
NB: there's nothing original about the two controllers thing. Just ask Jeff Minter <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
My high score in Twin Stick is now 11237302.
Cause I R suck? Never really played it, just knew about it. The thing I like about the games this guy makes is the tripppppy visuals though. And also the weird technical point about his games that its programmed in D.
