To do list:
- fix bugs/balance changes found by playtesters
- marine start not intuitive enough (dont know which way to go when spawn becosue of isometric room, have to add some arrow, objects or break the isometric look).
- better texture alignment.
- work on lights in some areas
- more schudeled playtests


Notes:
The map is currently in its early test stages. Bug fixing and balance changes are both being discussed with my playtesters and once they give me the thumbs up Ill release the map for public testing. The map is small with three rooms joint by corridors (Marine start -> War Room <- Hive) Initial tests have proven that it plays very well in three on three games though its yet to be tested on a larger scale (however Im quite confident it will play just as well in larger games).
The plot is simple but twists away from the usuall "Aliens invade marine ship/space station/ect... concept".
I think that its about time the marines bite back. This time its the alien ship thats being invaded. The marines have already established an outpost and brought in supplies (such as the armoury, crates, ect...) and now begin their investigation of the strange vessal. To make the map look more alien I created some custom textures such as the hieroglyphs (which are the maps main theme) and more....

    I had my testplay today. We played few rounds in random teams, players where equal skills. We found many bugs so the lit have changed:

    To do list:
    - fix bugs/balance changes found by playtesters
    - fix onos stuck

    - stairs will be changed to ramps for lower w_polly and better game play
    - map to dark (didnt see that on gforce)

    - rebuild Ready room (bad brush work)


    It was few hours of excelent gaming and very fun, we didnt test the map with some HA and Onoses will test it on a bigger server soon. I would like to thx Zamma`, Legian, Germ, DRagon (A.a), Fil3t, Pantsu,Tull, Maxx!!, Cassidy and Atilla ofcoruse.

    Done:

    - fix bugs/balance changes found by playtesters (not all, maybe more)
    - fix onos stuck
    - stairs will be changed to ramps for lower w_polly and better game play
    - map to dark (didnt see that on gforce)
    - better texture alignment.
    - work on lights in some areas
    - rebuild Ready room (bad brush work)

    I have rebuilded ready room now its max. 900 w_polly (before 1200-1400 bad brushwork). Ready room didnt change much some better texturing and better brushwork additional lights.

    To Do list:

    -add new textures with signs "join Marines, join Aliens etc."
    -add some infestation (dont like it but it has to be there).

    mabye make the portals a bit more ambient as well, like they fade into darkness or something.

    may I ask you something, carnage? maybe I mised something but I dont see the point in posting pictures, posting bugfixes and a "to do"-list on a map we CANT DOWNLOAD YET!!!

    especially when you get the impression, that this map is almost done...

    Lt Gravity i know you and the mapping community will be hard to satisfy i wish to make this map public as quick as i can. Few more days and i will post a link to the map. Be patient. Few things have to be done before i release this. Map cant be done if there is no signs in ready room, no infestation at lest few etc. Need more time dont forget first impression is very important.

    I do understand you perfectly. but sometimes when you think you have to fix something, you spend weeks on it and realize after a beta release that you "fixed" into the wrong direction. a internal betatest is something to check the map roughly. but judging from this screenshots you have done a lot more than that.

    Ok so it happend first alpha version is out. It need much work i know but you can test it now and give me some more feedback.

    I have uploaded alpha version of the map to our server its not great (the server) but you can play there as much as you wish...

    I was working on my map today new version is almoust ready hive room is done maybe some more lights will be added i am carently working on war room not finisht yet but that is what is comming to you soon...

    Glad to see some improvements. But it looks super bright and the middle area still seems like it will have a high w_poly.
