<div class="IPBDescription">Find any?</div> I don't listen to emo or anything, I just listen to pure hard music. But sometimes, very rarely, it doesn't get by.
I've been listening to Vertical Horizon all day.. and I only have one of their CDs.. I'm looking for some music that is positive sounding. Theres just a few times where I don't feel like being mad. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Anything? I guess use Vertical Horizon as a benchmark.

Come on, it's like the anti-emo. By nature it's happy, bouncy music that's fun to listen to. Try some Farse, Dancehall Crashers, Mad Caddies or The Slackers. Or go oldschool and try some Madness, Bad Manners, The Specials or The Slector.
because everyone needs happy german girl techno
Uhm, all types of music? I personally don't classify Final Fantasy soundtracks as music.
How about some Bob Marley, that's got a pretty positive message.
500.. whopdee.
The song is available for legal download on www.electronicscene.com
Or you can listen to it from this URL: <a href='http://www.freebrick.com/fmedia/fbmp3player/drumnbass/mp3center.html' target='_blank'>http://www.freebrick.com/fmedia/fbmp3playe.../mp3center.html</a>
Favorite band right there. My dad might consider sending me to europe when some concerts open up over there. (Soon.)
Anyways.
SUBLIME
BLOODHOUNG GANG
ELVIS COSTELLO
MC CHRIS
IN FLAMES
GWAR
And Nine Inch Nails. Not because it's what kind of music you're asking for, just because they are so genuinly awesome.
James Brown, simply because he is teh awesome.

Can't stand bloodhound gang, immaturity does not mean 'fun'.
Reel big fish - Sell out
Or uhhh, the Polyphonic Spree:

(CAUTION - the Polyphonic Spree are actually cultlike non-denominational God freaks. But if their music is anything, it's really happy.)
Heres a <a href='http://www.3hive.com/archives/2005/04/22/ted_leopharmacists.html' target='_blank'>nice writeup and download links</a> for Ted Leo and Pharmacists over at <a href='http://www.3hive.com' target='_blank'>3hive</a>.
I also recommend <a href='http://2005.sxsw.com/music/showcases/band/18082.html' target='_blank'>Apollo Sunshine</a> with <a href='http://audio.sxsw.com/2005/mp3/Apollo_Sunshine-I_Was_On_The_Moon.mp3' target='_blank'>I Was On The Moon (When You Were Born)</a>. Nice happy song there. Maybe also try getting Krafty by New Order. This one isn't exactly anti-emo but its somewhat irreverent and just plain fun. <a href='http://www.3hive.com/archives/2005/01/13/flogging_molly.html' target='_blank'>Flogging Molly</a> - <a href='http://sideonedummy.com/mp3s/fm/seven_deadly_sins.mp3' target='_blank'>Seven Deadly Sins</a>.
I love Vertical Horizon I don't find much out there that is similar to them. Try Matt Nathanson he has a few upbeat tunes like Laid & Suspended which you might like.
