in 24h 10 and more crashes at mapchange
only on my linux box (debian kernel 2.6+ and a new glib version) hlds under ns crashes 10 times and more in one day. it is strange - only sometimes on/during mapchange. the crashes arent always during mapchange for the same map.
ill try it with and without metamod, different versions, with and without amxmodx, ...
always the same strange random crashes.
another strange thing are the dissconnects for (most) all players with the message "... not present on client xxx (xxx is a number, not always the same one).
with the same config on my win32 testserver, it runs fine, only the linux port is crap

I'm going to take the insult as a joke, and in that case I'll try to help you. Assuming you followed my guide to setup your server and you FULLY updated it to the latest version then I'll bet you have a Linksys router (BEFSR11, BEFSR41 or BEFSR81) you are trying to run the game from behind, am I right? If you are, download the "1.45.7" version of the firmware and load it on the router, it should fix the problem.

Just in case that isn't the problem, here is a list of other "crap class" modems and routers for which there is no help but the trash bin:

...and if THAT doesn't help you here is a pre made search string for google so you can help yourself since only you know the exact error message you are getting:
Google Search (click)
my hardware is hostet on a 100mbit full duplex gbit backbone. there are no "home" routers used. only 1 router is in use for the ip tables and there are no agents running on it (better peformance / ping).
i think my setup is the best i can do, sorry no linux newbie guide can fix my crashes.
my feeling is, the crashes always when the mapchange is during or short after a round-reset. today i added -debug to my start parameter to get a log ... so it is always the same error ...
