Rather slow here, so I guess I get to beat myself ... HA!

Multiple bombs from a B-52 > single bunker buster.

SR71 Blackbird > paper airplane/F15 as it's the fastest jet in the world.

<b>For BulletHead: </b>XR 43 > SR71 Blackbird as the fastest jet (good catch sire!)

Guinness World Records recognized NASA's X-43A scramjet with a new world speed record for a jet-powered aircraft - Mach 9.6, or nearly 7,000 mph. The X-43A set the new mark and broke its own world record on its third and final flight on Nov. 16, 2004.

In March 2004, the X-43A set the previous record of Mach 6.8 (nearly 5,000 mph). The fastest air-breathing, manned vehicle, the U.S. Air Force SR-71, achieved slightly more than Mach 3.2. The X-43A more than doubled, then tripled, the top speed of the jet-powered SR-71. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

The ION drive, if implemented in a deepspace probe. Would be ultimately an extreme amount faster then the ramjet (max speed about 30 km/second). Since it can operate in space, not needing air, it simply is better, more effecient and cleaner then the scramjet.

Well then good thing that shotguns use pellets instead of bullets.

If people KNOW that something's been done before, can we please avoid using it? I'm getting sick of torpedoes and warplanes and bulletproof monks.

OK, after having seen the whole weapon X > weapon Y > weapon Z > weapon X game a few times by now, I'd say it's time we put this thread to rest. It was a fun time, but stuff can only repeat so often before it becomes a nuiseance.
