Attention: Absolute Virtue Server Admin

<div class="IPBDescription">Your server isn't 1.02</div> Despite its name, The Absolute Virtue server doesn't appear to be properly patched. A Llama dismantled a Marine Base single handedly today (first I've ever had to deal with such llamatosity) and the Marine Armour upgrades are not taking effect immediately, like they should. All signs of something not being kosher with the 1.02 patch on the server.

    sadly not a lot of server admins are active in here like they should be. Perhaps the admin has a contact on his website or Motd ??

    me too man... I was hovering around Flayra like a buzzard waiting for a bite of food hehe. I announced in #naturalselection that the server was up with 1.02 and boom 24 ppl were fraggin it was funny because I couldn't get in my own server in time

    i always kick someone...usuually ppl with the name "nsplayer"

    I block NSplayer from my server.. since you can't change names until the end of a round (every couple hours) it gets confusing for a commander with nsplayer.. nsplayer2 .. and so on..

    I don't kick NSplayer.. I block them before they get on (that way noone gets irked when they have been for 20 mins and then get kicked) .. and tell them that name is not allowed on the server. It's not that we don't allow noobs on our server, it's just the opposite, but the duplicate NSplayer thing is just hard to deal with as a commander.. and lets face it.. 95% of noobs go marine if they can. I too don't kick ppl unless they are disruptive on my server.

    Well, crap this is twice now I've tried to patch to 1.02 and for some reason it doesn't seem to be working.

    I've downloaded the patch, stopped the server, unzipped to the NS folder, and restarted the server. Should work right? No... Not working.

    I just downloaded the patch from an alternate mirror, fearing the first mirror I used had a bad version or something. Same file sizes in both zips. Not sure what else I could be doing wrong here guys. The .dll's are going into the right folder...

    Ok, you were right. Forgot to check the box on winzip to overwrite. ; )

    normally if it see's a file there already it will prompt you to overwrite the file. for others that might be having problems: unzip the file to your NS directory and make sure you:
    select all files
    overwrite files
    use folder names

    btw - I setup adminmod 2.50.50 and I thought it was working, but when players join *both* teams and the match starts, the server crashes.
