<div class="IPBDescription">Can anyone tell me how competive works?</div> Heya.. Well.. I'm new to this board, but ahs been reading it almost everyday since 2004..

And.. been playind NS before 2004.. And I never really got any description on how Competive works and the rules..

So.. Would someone pls explain the rules and stuff to me?.. And when it's used..

Basically, the server uses a specific config with friendly fire, tournament mode (teams have to type ready to start, res gives you accumulating points so if the game lasts 45 minutes the team with the most points wins), block scripts 0 in america, 1 in europeland, usually 6 players on a team. Ventrilo is a must for the mid to upper clans. Each team plays 1 round aliens, 1 round marines on the same map, the different leagues use different tie breaking methods, some competitions are multiple maps per team matchup.

well, not at all...

most of the time you just join the server, play 4 rounds , 2 on each of the 2 maps, and thats it

much of the time is train-wars and such where those rules dont apply

Clanbase used to require (haven't been there for a long while) someone neutral to come spec...gah...

Okay.. But it was more the clan based rules I was looking for.. But.. aren't they just modified a little, from "normal" competive, and clan competive?.. Or whatever..

Specific clans don't have rules. The clan leader determines who's not acting the way they should be (never showing up for matches, etc), and remove them from the team. I doubt there are many clans that have a ruleset written out and firmly set down. The only rules there are, are for matches between clans in a league (CAL, UGL).

Dunno what clan play.. Just the rules that apply for both.. I can always lok deeper into the rules for specific leagues..
