Help guys
I've tried to put in my own spray and can't get it to work.
I've tried replacing the tempdecal in my NS folder and not going into options or anything but it still sprays the game ones.
My file works in the wally program(wad creation/conversion program)
I've even tried replacing all the tempdecal files in all folders just to see and it still won't work in NS.
Any help would be appreciated.
I know its a noob question but hey I am. <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\v^dragon^v\half-life\ns this is the right folder to put it in yeah?
I don't understand it,when I look in my NS folder the tempdecal and the pldecal (both read only now)I put in are still there and the spray I want but in the game I just get the basic game wad sprays. Could it be something to do with steam maybe?
I used to use my own sprays in CS and never had any problems.
What about the config file or the custom.hpk could they just keep overwriting it or could the wad file info be stored somewhere else?
step one - make a wad with the image you want for your spray.
step two - place the file that you made (name it <b>tempdecal.wad</b>) into your <b>SteamApps\EMAIL\half-life\ns</b> folder. set that file to read only.
make sure that you have color #225 as pure blue, you youll get a monocolored spray.
good point, i never thought of that
