Help! SOmebody! I installed the game and checked Steam. The game wasnt there!

    Did you put it as a subfolder to your half-life? Also check under third-party games.

    The game prompts you to close steam before installing it. If you didn't, try restarting steam now that you've installed NS.

    I have half-life 1 and 2, and i closed steam, when it asked me to. I dont see y im still having problems.

    First have half-life installed on steam.

    OK, I first installed HL1,

    then i closed steam,

    then I installed ns in:
    C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\[my user]\half-life\ns

    then i restarted steam and looked at "play games" for NS.

    The location should be C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[my user]\HL, not ..\hl\ns

    If you look in the ..\hl\ns folder, then you'll see another folder, also called ns

    That is where the installation went.

    Fix: Uninstall, and reinstall NS, to the correct path, as above
