bind "w" "+foreward; stopsound"
bind "s" "+back; stopsound"
bind "d" "+moveright; stopsound"

bind "mouse1" "+attack; stopsound"
bind "space" "+jump; stopsound"

You'll be so friggin quiet <i>you</i> wont even know your moving!

    I'll just have whoever uses it with belief that they'll be silent shot. Which wont be hard, since the marines'll hear 'em comin from a mile away.

    stopsound only stops sounds from playing on your client. Its usefull if a sound starts looping.

    Valid use for "stopsound"

    If you get lagged and a sound keeps looping over and over, you can use this to litterally stop the sound. Havn't noticed this in NS, but it crops up alot in TFC with the HWguys AC, or on Rock2 with the alarm.

    Stopsound is also a great way to help in hearing footsteps on maps with loud ambient background noises (in CS, for example, it was aboslutely necessary on as_oilrig). Mind you, I'm probably going to get 30 flames calling me a "cheater" after saying that.

    That's a really good idea! And guys, if you want to know a little secret I picked up, here it is. You know how it says 'unbindall' in your config? Well put it at the END of your config also. This will cause you to be double the killing machine and uber leet.

    I know I've got stopsound as a bind in my config, mostly because some mods have things like func_doors that get a little messed up and don't stop playing the same sound over and over again. It probably isn't entirely kosher to use stopsound to kill ambient sounds so you can hear other players better, but on the list of exploits, it's really down there as minor.

    That script would also leave you stuck moving whichever direction you pressed -- "+" commands don't play well with other commands when in the same bind <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
    So they'd be stuck moving one direction, thinking they're all l33t and ninjalike <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
