Sweet, sweet bovine fluid. I never got the chance to sample your creamy texture. All the calcium that my body could have used to make me grow strong and proud - gone, in a flash. Scattered across the floor like an obscene mockery of my entire life.
I wrote this poem to express my despair.
I was holding a bottle Then I dropped it Just like my stupid life Was dropped Onto a cold, hard floor.
I was holding a bottle And then it slipped Oh, stupid, wretched, ugly Ugly, stupid, wretched Wretched, ugly, stupid.
I was holding the bottle of my life And then it was dropped Onto the cold, hard floor of life. My life is a bottomless pit of despair, A void of sorrow sucking in The happiness of playing children.

As for examples of emo bands, most of the bands named in this thread are not emo at all. Allow me to recomend these bands as being emo bands that other people have told me are good, I try to avoid the genre personally: Thursday early Weezer Senses Fail The Get Up Kids At The Drive-in and finally, the incomperable Hearts That Hate (if anyone gets that I'll give them love forever)
Listen to AFI's newest album, Sing The Sorrow; they're probably working their way into the opinionated emo genre. Oh and Jimmy Eat World's Futures album.
Some of Beck's newer music has a depressed sound to it, it's not part of the emo-genre per say since it's not punk. But still sounds depressed though. Anyway i'm thinking about the CD "Sea Change", and the specific tracks i'm thinking of are these:
- Lonesome Tears - Already Dead - Lost Cause - All in your mind
Jesus, I can never experience "emo" are whatever the hell it is. I am either too stoic or happy to care. Tell me if I got this right, it is basically a sub-culture that is part music part people that get more in touch with their emotions and tend to be able to express their feelings better? Cause unfortunately, I have a slight prejudice that they are a generally unhappy and depressed people...don't take this as an insult, it isn't but I really have no idea what emo is...
EDIT: That video that was supposed to "cheer you up" is something called LARP. It is game that involves dressing up as heroes and villians in an D&D-ish setting and beating the **** out of each other. Believe me, it is a HELLUVA lot of fun, even though it seems really stupid...

Don't listen to urbandictionary, it's mostly wrong. And Brand New and Simple Plan are more pop-punk than anything else.

That's enough emo for today.

I prefer to stay happy :/
Sooooo emo you could slice a razor through it.
And yes, ignore the urban dictionary link.
Listen to AFI's newest album, Sing The Sorrow; they're probably working their way into the opinionated emo genre. Oh and Jimmy Eat World's Futures album.
Actually that was rather depressing
- Lonesome Tears
- Already Dead
- Lost Cause
- All in your mind
But the whole CD pretty much does it.

No, it was hilarious. You clearly lack funny.

Emo is pseudo-goth that cries and acts depressed sheerly for the attention
