go to dooku.net and click on the white bar below the flash once, then twice more, both of those songs are of what genre? Same with that song from matrix revolutions, where it starts out choir-y? I appreciate anyone who is an audiophile to help...

Are orchestral remixes their own genre now?

Ill be honest...Im terrible with music types and don't classify it much I judge it by "I like it" and "I dont like it"

If thats what that type of thing is called, cool, and thanks.

You can hit the text under Dooku to see the names of the songs.

I would put the first one (that god awful kronos dirge) as 'soundtrack' or somthing similar, and not only because its from Requiem.
and the second one would probably fall under some catagory of modern electronica, perhaps bigbeat, simply for the drum beat. If the beat were not there, probably it would fall under small c 'classical', imo.

A lot of people also confuse the name of the song "Lux Aeterna" with "Requiem for a Dream". The most recent use of the song I'm aware of was the trailer for LotR: The Two Towers (a version of it anyway).

I personally hate classifications. They restrict performers, and misguide listeners.

    "Yeah, I like emo-core punk neo-jazz!"
