    No clue how much 700 quid is, but my rims were $500 usd a piece.

    Cool, my girlfriend had a sculpture just like that. I never really understood why, but modern art is not my strong side.

    Edit: That was a reply to a now removed post with a picture of a certain adult-related tool.

    So, according to your rate of exchange, $2000 usd > 700 quid ... w00h00 MY RIMS WIN!

    Well, you also have to take in account that you can get more in the USA than in Great Britain (Quid is the English colloquialism for GBP [pound]).

    Ahem... The 'ghetto' terminology for "rims" is "mags"...
    <i>"Hey Leeroy, that's a ghetto set 'o mags you got for your Ford! Those be 24's?" Thurgood asked him.</i>

    All terminology aside, why do people bother with car modifications? I suppose it's to show their level of wealth, yes? (although my family has a considerably higher income than my friend's, yet he has a 'classy' car).

    yea, a 7 USD meal in USA is still 7 quid in GB. It's crazy

    First off screw ghetto terminology, I don't live in teh ghetto. Bro. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    As to why "people bother with car modifications" I can only speak for myself. I have a most beautiful automobile that had a most ugly set of stock rims on it, that hardly did the car justice. Now it rides on BBS rims fit for a king. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I don't live in 't3h gh3tt0' either...
    I guess I won't know what it is to customize your car until I actually own one...

    The most expensive thing I've bought this month is a packet of lamingtons.

    I got a roasted turkey sandwitch from Einstein Bros today, I'd say that's the most expensive so far.

    :edit:

    My close second was a Barbocoa burrito from Chipotle.

    So you got this job at the theater now, and you spend all your money on food. What's wrong with THIS picture? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I had a sleep study done last night that probably cost $1,500 usd, although insurance should pay 80% of that. Still, 300 bux is still a chunk of change to pay for sleeping in a small bed with 20 electrodes hooked to ya. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Don't they PAY you to volunteer for sleep studies?
