New Cloaking?

Downloaded NS 3.0 the other day after not playing for like 6 months(I know, I'm a bad person) Last time I played I think it was 3.0beta or something. The first thing I noticed with the aliens is the cloaking. I noticed that I can now run and just with the claoking still on, but I also get shot at a lot more(ie: They can see me better). Why was this changed? How transparent am I now? Am I more transparent when I walk or when I am stationary?

btw: I used the forum search tool and couldnt find any previous posts on this.

    When you run you are just transparent, but very easy to see, moving slowly is almost impossible to see unless your monitor/gamma settings are very high. So if you dont want to be seen, stay still or move slow, ie walk or tap forward

    Awesome, thanks for the help! I was really worried, I was beginning to think that the cloaking became useless now... That wouldnt be good.

    The old style of cloaking was better though. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    Mind you,now there's an add-on via /menu that can at its max lvl give you 100% full invincibility. At least,I think it is still there......

    That would be invisibility, not invincibility. Huge difference.

    Cloaking in NS ranges from 95% (IIRC) to 70% depending on how fast you are moving.

    I say Aliens should only be cloaked in dark places,ceilings,water, and when not moving.
    oh yea, and fades shouldn't be cloaked because: marine vs fade(in cloak) is kinda like: marine vs predator.
