Condump?

Hello,

I am still new to NS and have no idea how to obtain a "condump". I know what they are used for but can not find any info on actually how to get/make one. Thank you.

Pretty sure you type condump in console and it makes a list of what has been said in console. Which is basically everything mm1/mm2/killed.

Does there need to be an end command like with demos?

It doesn't start anything. When you enter the command it saves everything currently in the console backlog to condump###.txt in the NS folder.

If you want to make a condump of the userlist, it's a good idea to type "clear" first. That clears the console. Then you type "status", and "condump". Much cleaner and easier to read for the one who's reading the condump

lol. now on a more serious note. condebug is superior to condump if you want to log more precise info

It logs everything that is sent to the console in a file called qconsole.txt in either the root directory or the Half-life directory (can't remember which).

last time I checked qconsole.log will be placed in the HL dir, not the mod dir.

it logs EVERYTHING from activation till deactivation, and continues in the same log after reactivation. (unlike condump, which makes a new file)

combined with developer 3, condebug 1 puts a huge amount of info in it, especially on servers (and single player games)
