    Battleman, what you see before a player's name is their status icon.
    There's one for Server Host, Server Op, Veterans, and Constellation Members.

    By far the most common is the Constellation Member icon, which is attained by donating money to fund the next stage of NS development...

    yes it does, it's a hold-over to 'reward' the old vets... but i'm not sure if it's been held over for this version... or it was actually dropped...

    that and there's the playtester icon (which i have <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

    and (for something slightly more on topic) i can see how the 'icons' could be considered 'customization' if you didnt know any better , as some servers have there own Custom icons too ... but oh well .
