In the current patch, are there any restrictions on who can see\hear what you say, say_team and +voicerecord when you're dead? I'm under the impression that only other dead players get your messages and that all dead players hear voicecom from dead players, is this right?

People can talk to each other wether they are dead or not.
Unless every single NS server Ive ever been on ever has a plugin that changes the default.

I do use Ventrilo. For clanning. Which I do, every single night.
What Im talking about is general pubbage pre-b6. Last time I checked, every pub NS server didnt have a Ventrilo server to go along with it, and even if it did, it doesnt automagically separate Aliens/Marines, nor does it automagically forcefully connect and setup the Ventrilo client so that it can even work in the first place.
Let's try this again, then: does it depend on server settings, if so which?
NS doesn't need odd restrictions on communications. I really think having the dead talking helps the game a lot. Considering they'd only have to wait, what, ten seconds to say what they would have said while dead anyway...
It'd quickly become a nuisance, and wouildn't help the game. IMO
