<div class="IPBDescription">thoughts</div> well I started playing this game 2 days ago and I think its great. However I have some thoughts on it. OK I need to know the maps better, but anyways I think playing as marines is awful. Out of the maybe 20 games I've played, we've won twice I think as marines. I've played aliens and every game I was an alien we won. Ok so here's what I think. The marines need so many turrets for each RC which comes to 19 per turret and 25 for factory. This sucks up resources. The aliens don't even have to protect their RCs cuz the marines usually cant go out alone to kill alien RCs whereas skulks can run around with impunity. I've seen 1 skulk kill 2-3 marines so many times its not even funny. Skulks should not be able to charge marines and survive.. they need to have less HP so they are forced to be more stealthy and hide on ceilings and jump on top of marines. Once the fades come out, in the games i've played, we have like 3 RCs which are well defended but no HA and HMG. So we're dead. It's not hard to save up 80rp as a gorge and throw up a second hive. Maybe a few offense/defense turrets to protect it, and once the fades come out its game over. Another thing is that the marine commander needs to be able to select EVERY marine. There should be a button to select every marine and tell them to go to a hive. As it is, I have maybe 2-3 marines in one place and the others scattered so its hard to direct them all to the hive I want them to go. Well thats what I think so far. Maybe it's more balanced in clan games where everyone knows what they're doing because in my games the marines get slaughtered. Oh and this is in games where our commander was decent. When our commander is a moron, I won't even comment on those games.

Marines can and do win a lot.
Before the turret factory did not have to be alive, and there was no solution to massive turret farms, thus causing many stalemated long boring games of lame.
If you have any aim a skulk cannot survive a straight rush at a marine.
Until a select all button is created for the commander, use the voicecomm and tell any you cant select.
Fades are not endgame, too many marines think they are and just give up, it is very possible to take a fade down as a single normal armor LMG marine.
If your comm is a moron, eject him, thats why that button is there.
The game is balanced, the skill of the players isn't. In time this will even out. Try playing as aliens. I know I was completely intimidated by the alien HUD when I first treid it. "What in god's name do I do now?" Just play as a skulk and go **obscenity** some marines off. Listen to your teammates talk and ask questions. You'll figure out what to do in no time.
That fade must not be smart enough to aim at your legs....
