ns has become a bunch of bot servers (a LOT of which try to create the illusion of players actually playing, or has a name like "ADMINS NEEDED!!! join for more info") or are a lot of HLTV proxies, or are full...
but there are still some good servers out there *cough*NSA*cough* that we can still enjoy, without nearly as many newbs.
either way, teh fact that h4x are so rare, taht ive only seen 1 person ever hack, since beta 3, is amazing.

Edit: I've seen more hackers since 3.0 than I did all the way up from 1.04. In fact, between 1.04 and 2.0, I never saw a hacker. I have seen 5 since 3.0 was released. It's a shame, really.

You're getting dominated to the point where the com has res to waste on mines in your hive? GG, f4 if you want to forfeit and try that much harder next game.
A short and sweet game is much better than a long and drawn out turtle in marine spawn. No chance for victory---->recycle IPs and play last man standing.
Structure blocking? It's okay with the devs and the competetive leagues.
mp_bs 1? Well when I like to get an ego boost I'll go play on a block script server.

actually i'm back. i'm back in London so i have a selection of more than 1 server that i can play on. i can have fun although it can be frequently annoying because there is always at least one of the stupid problems i complained about on all the servers. right now my favourite is the Guns4Back2School server but it's problem is that the map timer is too long so we have to play each map twice in a row basically and each second time everyone just wants to mess around so that the match ends quickly so they can go to the next map. The other server which is the one i was banned from said my ban was only 2 weeks and that's up in a few days so maybe i'll go back to that one.
and btw i tried nsarmslab a few times and i'm sorry but their putting the sprites in the readyroom and the game map is just way too obnoxious, rude, and disrespectful to NS.

Listen: just ignore the sprites in the RR. Press F1 or F2 when you join the game, you don't even have to see it. There's one instance of sprites being outside of the RR in the ns maps, and their custom server doesn't even have it.

People come people go, but they somehow make their way back.
I do agree, there are some really stupid servers and way too many CO servers. Not to offend anyone, but nsarmslab suck, so does g4b2s or whatever its called. The only server I really liked was voogru, back when it didn't suck (Like 1.0 days and early early 2.x)
Only way to find good servers is to server hop for a while. Being a regular is fun, but that doesn't mean its also a good server. Bunches of nubcakes can come and ruin it.
well generally the only reason why there are more co servers is because it uses less cpu then ns servers theres a giant gap between ns and co in terms of cpu and even further cs. on a chart NS = 75% CO = 35% CS = 5% cpu, thats why you see so many cs servers. Not to mention numerous other issues when hosting servers.

I'd suggest you give us a try. I'm not sure what rules Fangs is specifically talking about since we only really have a no cursing and no hacking rule, but mayhaps he had a bad experience.

I've been around since 1.00, but I only made an account on the forums in 2.xx.
I do agree, there are some really stupid servers and way too many CO servers. Not to offend anyone, but nsarmslab suck, so does g4b2s or whatever its called. The only server I really liked was voogru, back when it didn't suck (Like 1.0 days and early early 2.x)
Only way to find good servers is to server hop for a while. Being a regular is fun, but that doesn't mean its also a good server. Bunches of nubcakes can come and ruin it.
Anyway...Gl, Hf and C U next time I guess.
