NS only supports OpenGL, and to some extent, Direct3D. I'm afraid if your graphics card does not support OpenGL you cannot play NS.

If your card is reasonably modern (last 2 years) it should certainly support OpenGL. If you're unsure, post your specifications and we'll check for you.

Half-Life, as a game, is starting to creep on a bit. My copy of HL:Platinum packhas the copyright listed as something like 1998 (i think). Any card that has been made for the last 6 or 7 years will work with NS

    I agree, but...

anything bought in 1998 would have been upgraded, as 512k hard drives just don't cut it

I'd prefer to give an answer that's exclusive than inclusive. Lt.Patch, if you stop correcting my minor tech support quibbles, I'll stop tearing holes in your blatant mistakes. ;P

512k hard drives?!?! I havent seen a 512k hard drive since my parents traded in their apple IIe for an old macintosh in like 1991. By 1998 we had a computer with 2 512 MB hard drives, which is what i think you meant. Windows 3.1 couldnt even be installed on a 512k hd, much less 95, 98, or HL.

It was an exageration, but yes, it was misleading.
I've never had an Apple nor a Mac; I started from the 486. (Unless a GameBoy comes in before that)
