You guys might want to look for him somewhere between Nepal and Beijing because he just got pwned through the planet.

What a scumbag, I like to consider myself more rational then Hanity but I probably would have reacted much worse to this degenerate piece of garbage.
He looks like a sneak and his bloody last name is Crook...could this guy be more of a cliché?

If anyone remembers my post about what I want to do to a Jamster employee, well this guy gets the same.

Really...how can scum like this be allowed to continue existing!

Fox News is terrible in the first place, this is how they always are. It's not like their reputation has been soiled.

Oh god...it's painful listening to either person. The kid obviously isn't prepared to argue his feelings in a mature (or intelligent) way, and the questions asked are just painful...not because they're good questions, but because they are, IMO, horribly tainted.

"You wouldn't have a voice without our troops" sounds to me like something akin to saying "We wouldn't have gravity without god" - it may be true, but on the other hand it may be grossly inaccurate. Not exactly an objective question.

Surely there are many other people on the same 'side' as this kid who would be far better talk to about such issues to understand this viewpoint, FOX (read: that anchor, anyway) is just taking an easy kill - they know this kid has no real backing for his comments other than his emotional response to the governments policies. Shouldn't a news company focus on larger issues and try to resolve something from it? This is just a playground bully beating up a naive person.

FTR, I don't watch much TV either. Thanks for reminding me why

I don't agree with this guy's attitude toward the military, but I do agree with the principle of his sentiment; that people shouldn't be 'lured' into the military with promises of tax cuts and large salaries. If they do go off to join the military, it should be purely out of a want to protect your country and not for the benefits of doing that (even if it provides an escape from/solution to a bad situation).

Have any of you guys started reading this guys site?

He wants to lower the salaries of the soldiers, who are already underpayed, and make them pay for housing, medical insurance, and double their co-pays for when they need to use that insurance.

I know that my mother for example has her insurance payed for by her company, as do many people. Being a soldier is just like any other job, except more dangerous in many instances, requiring **** loads of training that corperations would pay them a hell of a lot more to do than they get from the millitary, and they are "leeches"

He makes refrences to the "real world" often. The "real world" is full of war and suffering, and a hell of a lot of political bull ****. This guys idea of the "real world" is as narrow as his scrawny little pale neck.

He views the millitary as an unskilled, uneducated workforce that wnat a free ride.

I want to punch this guy in the face.

But I'm a person who watches television much less than average, and generally watches less than an hour of news on TV per week. As such a viewer, I find the first of those two show anchors to be a very poor representative of his television channel. Regardless of the political view of the guest, regardless of the political view of the employee, calling a guest a moron or idiot and framing it with "<Name station here> News" is the easiest way to get me to think "This is either a comedy show, or I should never watch this channel for proper news again."

For Fox's sake, I hope their other employees are more respectful of the intelligence of their guests and their viewers.

[edit]In case it wasn't clear from the above, I was glad to see how the 2nd anchor acted after the 1st was out of the way. But had my attention span been any shorter, I would've walked away with a far worse impression of the channel.

I'm glad someone felt the same way as me. A.) I IN NO WAY AGREE WITH THAT KID. B.) THAT FIRST NEWS ANCHOR WAS EXTREMEMLY UNPROFFESSIONAL.

I mean, we all hate the kid etc. etc. because of this horrendous things he's saying but, Jesus christ it's obvious he's an idiot and his argument isn't well thought out at all. Do you have to get your gaddamn jimmies outta analy raping this guy though? This anchor screamed unproffessional. He could have easily handled this with some tact and some grace. Look at that second one. He did it right. Note, he crushed the Crook's argument without resorting to lowering himself to the Crook's level.

OK. Here's how I would do it:

Me: Sir. Please explain to me, in full your argument. I would also like to ask, no not even, rather, I DEMAND that you do not base your argument on childish insults or immature behavior.
Crook: Ok, skipping out on all the comments I made on my site I'll get to the point. I highly dissaprove of our nation's military forces. They are overpayed and overprivledged. Their pay grades need to be reduced, and all this nonsense based on supporting them needs to be taken down a level.
Me: You claim they are overpayed. You also believe they are over glorified. OK we can go three routes with this. I can attempt to justify their payment and any "priviledges" they supposedly receive. I can point out how little they are actually payed and how few priviledges they have. Or I can point out that even were it the case, even if it were the case that they are getting too much, it wouldn't even be their fault. Personal attacks against them are completely unnecessary! If it were true, who you should be angry at is the politicians who "over payed" them, who "over glorifiied them".
Crook: ...
Me: You've been owned haven't you?
Crook: Yes. Yes I have.
Me: How do you feel son?
Crook: Sorry.
Me: And all was right with the universe once again.
Crook: ...
Me: I'm shutting up now.
Crook: Thanks.
Me: That's it for tonight folks! Tune in next time for Cold-NiTe news. News YOU can depend on to be FAIR AND BALANCED.

dollars to donuts they paid him to make the website so they could look good tearing him down, because he doesn't even seem to know what he's arguing.

their argument against the guy is that the military is protecting our freedom, which many people would agree isn't even true in this case, because our freedom isn't exactly being threatened by Iraq right now.

they don't even let the guy talk because they're too busy calling him a soulless disgrace. if the guy's for real, his anger is obviously misplaced. if military salaries are high, it's because the military is incredibly understaffed and overstretched for the current administration's agenda. any employer raises wages if he needs to lure in more employees; it's supply and demand. now, if we weren't waging pointless wars on foreign soil, we wouldn't need to pay our warriors so much, and we wouldn't need so many of them.

our soldiers are obviously deserving of our concern and pity, not hate. they join the military because they need the money, and hopefully they get some of the hazard pay they deserve, though I'm sure it's not nearly enough. my gf's father is a comparatively high-ranking officer of the RESERVE, is in his 50's, and has been in Iraq for about a year and a half with only 2 weeks leave. they barely let him have emergency leave for a few days when his mother-in-law died. sure, he chose to be career military, but when you 'sign on the dotted line' you hope uncle sam won't put your life on the line unless it's 150% necessary...

edit: how bout that guy's haircut?

I remember hearing something along those lines Disco. It was something to do with Rumsfeld's "Transformation" plans and how he went ahead with it but was horribly understaffed for the needs of the project. I'd have to look it up again, it was Public Broadcasting stuff.

this guy is bitching about the armed forces getting about 1400 dollars in tax breaks and than salary pay which probably amounts to less than 20k a year. 20k a year aint **** for salary, and if they were makin 50k a year salary that still is not ****. MOST put in over probably 60 hours a week and if they are in combat even more! This punks dad probably drives his dads jaguar around and thinks hes a lil bad ****.

Very valid reasoning behind his arguements, quite sound imo. The military is a "way out" people use in high school to get a ride. It just require the yes-man mentality, and I guess someone has to do it. It just happens that the someone is most likely the least educated people. Also the Military's payscale is pretty bad, not how much the spend on the regular soldier but that in relation to what higher ups make is rediculous.

I couldn't disagree with this guy more, but it makes me sick that people at very least don't understand what is going on in his head. He's a pretty petty and insulting guy, but he has an opinion and he is broadcasting it.

For the record, he isn't celebrating the deaths of american troops, he is just making a point out of not mourning them on the grounds that it is thier own fault that they died, with the intent I belive being to offend people enough that they will advertize his site, and thus hopefully raise attention to the issues he is promoting.

He's just like any other troll, just with more publicity.
