<div class="IPBDescription">Piece Inside!</div> Gamecloud - How has the Steam system worked so far and are there any plans to improve it and also allow other third party games to use the system?
Doug Lombardi - In addition to opening a new avenue for selling our products, Steam has proven very effective in curbing piracy and assisting with the administration of the CS:Src and now DoD: Src betas. It's also allowed us to roll out updates and new content (such as HL2:DM) directly to customers, without having to send them to an FTP site to hunt for the files. <b>We plan to continue the development of Steam and we'll be announcing the first set of third party games to be offered on Steam in just a few weeks.</b>
Huzza?

I can't wait!
I hate these kinds of interviews. They can go on for ages about something, without actually telling you anything usefull.
No word on TF2. No word on DOD:S
Spare me.
Now stop derailing this thread.
"third party games" doesn't neccesarily mean HL2 mods, or atleast that's my take.

attack of the 50 foot sigs! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!111
So finally NS will be on the MyGames list. I feel quite ashamed that I was too lazy to manually update Hostile Intent. Back in the day we had to unzip quake maps and copy the files into the right directory - no auto-installation! NOES!
Gets a piece of chicken wire jumps on nemsis zero's back and starts pulling the wire against his neck. "TELL ME NOW!!! TEELLLLL!!!!"

There's a bunch of information contained in the first show I haven't seen covered by any of the fan sites.. So get new information by listening in !!!!!
Agreed. Hot chicks are hot chicks

unfortuantely for a lot of people the show is on far too late e.g. those in europe. and dling a 35mb file is too big for some. (not 4 me though <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> )
What is really needed is transcripts of the important bits imo
you can find that <a href='http://fc.gedsb.net/~windlema/1clipsforintro.mp3' target='_blank'>here</a>
I'll upload a new version before Thursday night...
The issue is each episode is about an hour of me talking, and it's not really worth transcribing all the uhm's and ahh's <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

The issue is that what you consider important may not be what I would consider important... Someone may really want to hear about the mapping process changes and where we are going with that.. While covered in my show, they are NOT covered in the highlights... (as an example) so I pick stuff that I feel the majority of people want to hear about, but different communuities may get different things out of listening to the whole show.
