A Gaming Family...

Guys I thought Flayra and the NS team would like to see how NS has impacted a few people in their lives. Unfortunatly on the NS server I play quite a bit on one of our regulars has passed away. This forum liknk shows how his wife is trying to cope with the loss and how a NS gaming community is coming together to support their friends in gaming. Thank you Flayra for making something that a bunch of strangers can get together and form a family...

I didn't know him personally but my best wishes go out to his wife and kids.

Same. This is really sad, but we have to accept death.

    Rest in peace.

Rest in peace, and good luck and best wishes to his family and friends. *bows head softly/deeply.* Death is never a pleasant subject with most.

I think it's true how NS has brought us all together in this manner. Working as a team is what NS is all about and it has been a factor in why were still here. The core of EG was founded on this basis and it is what has kept us together since NS came out. A few of us have been playing together since early CS back in 2000 and when NS came out we were hooked. We've lost players and gained a many that play with us regularly and even travel long distances to meet up with each other in person. I can think of several NS servers still around that have the same family atmosphere.

Lick_it_dot_com was a very open person and never hesitated to speak his mind. It was always cool playing with him and even cooler that his wife played right along side him to. He was one to take the time to help out new players and had t his thing against F4'ing. Not only did he leave his mark with us at EG-NS, but went on to play DoD and wouldn't you know that he fell into another great bunch of people there.

He will be missed but not forgotten. Lick_its_babe still plans on fragg'n with us and by the time his kids grow up, mabey NS:source will be out and they can play too. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Thanks to Flayra for an awesome game and the people who make NS what it is today. YOU ALL!

I haven't know lick_its_babe for long, but this hits close home for me none the less.

My sympathy and friendship for her.

He's playing a better game now.

hope this doesnt sound insensitive but whenever someone dies, especially at a young age, it really bothers me not knowing how it happened. in fact iots my first question whenever i learn of someones has passed. i guess its my own fear of death or need to find reasons for everything. i know its inapproiate to ask.

    regardless

    My condolences to his Family.

I don't know how many people have faked their own deaths online, (I fell for it twice already) to talk about donations? That's crossing the line even if it WERE real.
