Third Party Gamma -program

<div class="IPBDescription">How do disable?</div> I'm using (along with numerous others) 2 monitors, and whenever I start up NS the other one (the secondary, on which the game does not run on) gets overly bright.

And so, the topic pretty much says it all:
How does one disable the third party gamma?

I managed to disable it once, but it came back when I started the game again.

Thanks.

    Aww, c'mon guys :/

    Isn't there really anybody who knows?

    NS uses some kind of third party gamma program and therefore it has (for example) resetgamma.exe in its directory. The program launches itself when you are playing but if you press esc, it will disable.

    So....is there any way to play NS WITHOUT that annoying "overbright" gamma?

    What happens when you run resetgamma.exe when NS is running? Wouldn't that fix the gamma, or would it also mess up NS?

    I doubt there is a way to alter how the 3rd party program effects the 2 monitors. A solution would be to run another 3rd party file (google?) that reduces the gamma on monitor 2.

    You could make it run every time you ran steam. I do something similar with refresh lock. Gogo batch files:

    <!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->
    @echo off
    cd "C:\Program Files\Gaming Files\Steam"
    start Steam.exe
    cd "C:\Program Files\Gaming Files\Steam\SteamApps\bluenovember@IEatCatsForFun.comt\half-life\ns_custom\"
    start RefreshLock.exe
    exit
    <!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->

    As for finding such a program, ... good luck?

    Hmm, that's odd. I'm not getting overbright monitor when playing ns_siege007. It has to be a variable! <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    o0. Random inspiration:
    Join a game, hit esc twice.

    It's the "unofficial gamma fix" for siege007. May help you on other maps too. (Worth a short.)

    A mapper placed entity env_gamma controls the gamma ramp. For a siege map it's to be expected this entity is either forgotten by the mapper or set to a very low value to hide the fact the map is fullbright. I don't know if there are console commands to change this value, and wether they are cheat or developer protected.
