I Found This Strategy Works Pretty Good (in Co)

<div class="IPBDescription">Reevolving...</div> Since they changed it so you can reevolve into something else after you die, I've been experimenting with evolving to suit certain conditions. After all, that's what <i>natural selection</i> in the real world is all about. And ohhh how it works beautifully.

For example:

I was playing in this one map (I forget what it's called, it's the one with the hive in a spaceship in a dock, but not freefall), on a server with the /buildmenu mod.

Leading up to the hive is a side way, and right by the hive is a long long hallway with a small elevator on the other end. I went this way as skulk, and about 100 meters past the elevator I came upon 5 marines. They killed me before I got close. I saw they were building a PG! Bad news.. Also, there was no one else around or no one would go over there. So when I respawned, I changed to lerk, and I had adren so I started spore spamming the top of the elevator at the end of the hallway. That was the only place they could get through, and damn did it work, I got like 4 or 5 spore kills. From those I gained another point, so I flew up and let them kill me. Then I changed to fade and blinked down there and started spawn camping the PG, while in the meantime destroying the TF (which I could not have done as skulk or lerk, because of the blue electricity). I got like 10 kills from the PG, and eventually got it all destroyed. After that my teammates found out what I'd been doing and we got an onos/fade/lerk/gorge rush going through that way and ended up winning the game.

Now this is an extreme example ofcourse, but this natural adaptation that the aliens now have really opens up strategic possibilities for CO. Don't you agree?

    Why you just didnt evolve while beeing lerk so you wouldnt had wasted time on respawn and wouldnt had given RFK.

    SLizer, you can't reevolve in combat, you have to die first. LittleB, this is basically common sense, something that's so natural to do that it doesn't even require strategic thought to figure it out.

    and yes its kinda useful spore rines who have to weld.

    i think the map is co_daimos
    with the weldable pg
    but still how did a tf in a co map? :/
