Laser Sights?

I just played on a server tonight in which all of the marines had laser sights on their guns. How do I get this for my game if I want to host? can't seem to find it anywhere.     I beleive that it's an adminmod plugin/feature.

    Ive seen it too! it looks really neat when you are hiding as a skulk a dark room and those red beams start moving around in the room and you know that soon..... you will have a bite to eat.

    Its a plugin for admin mod, it gives laser beams to LMG and Pistol. It's useless for the marines, but it sure is a goodlooking feature!

    Yea, it's a plugin, and omg, is it ever annoying. You're looking around and the people with nothing more then do then to always twirle around to check out the laser on the gun, my god it gets annoying.

    -nC- has it. Annoying as all hell. I wanna know the brainiac that came up with this idea. Let's follow the thought process:

    "Well, we have this NS server and it is laggy because it does more than any other HL mod has ever done before... Let's add laser sights to marine guns!"

    "Erm, wouldn't that lag it more?"

    "Well, yeah."

    "Does it help them in any way?"

    "Uhm, no."

    "Then why do it?"

    "Because it looks COOL!"

    This is how bad it was. It only updates every second or so. If you're moving your sight to scan different areas it is showing you where you <i>were</i> aiming and distracts you from where your <i>are</i> aiming. Not to mention it isn't like the Skulks need yet another way to figure out where the marines are.

    Marine: Oh hell.

    Skulk: *chuckle* Yellow circle, red line and CLOMP, CLOMP, CLOMP, this is just too easy.

    Marine: Commander, I want my mummy!

    i have seen this too and must say that i dont like it,

    Here's something funny....     I think that whenever I play alien they should be on. It's so nice to be able to count the number of incoming marines and see where they're looking.

    I don't like lasers in NS. Dumb idea.

    Yes, the laser lags because it's server-side, not client-side. Where the laser dot is is where to the server you're actually aiming due to ping.
