2ndGig? There's a new series? Here's to hoping animax plays subs and doesn't throw it to their horrible horrible dubbin. I can't watch the reruns of GITS:SAC anymore because they decided to dub it.

No. It's awesome. Don't think it's like anything else out there. This is <s>scifi</s> cyberpunk the way it should be.

**EDIT** Fixed, Vercetti's right. This is definite cyberpunk.

This is why caves are bad places to have as one's residence. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Seriously though, go see this.

Fixed. I don't think sci-fi stories would fit into this mold too well. They often require the reader/viewer to have a much larger view of the universe than this.

Nope, not scary at all imo.

Gits:I is way different then the Gits:SAC and 2nd gig TV series.

I would catagorize the TV series as a "Thinking Man's Action Series". Lots of food for thought, but it's still an action series.

Gits:I is different. You have to be able to think to watch it. It does have a chunk of action in it, but to really enjoy it, you have to be able to think.

Having said that, any GITS (Both movies and both TV series) is among my favorite anime of all time and I recommend watching any you can get your hands on.

But be sure to watch the first movie before the second. You'll be completely lost if you watch the second without seeing the first.

Also, the movies and the TV series are alternate universes, they are both GITS, but they don't relate to each other at all.
