<div class="IPBDescription">I have been waiting for this movie for..</div> Many of you have probably not seen the show Firefly. That's because fox doesn't know what to do with good TV shows. Firefly was in my humble opinion, the best sci-fi television show ever made. Excellent dialogue, great atmosphere, believable and original futuristic society (old west in space), hilarious, scary, exciting, just flat out awesome. Fox basically destroyed the show through incompetence (scheduled the first episode opposite the superbowl, played the episodes out of order, changed the time it was on every few weeks.) The show got canned after one season.

Thankfully, someone realised that the series really had potential, and now they've made a movie. <i>Serenity</i>

    In my opinion, Star Wars was like a western in space. Bounty hunters, seedy taverns, scoundrels, gambling, etc. etc. But I always saw Firefly at the vid. store and wondered what it was.

    I highly recommend checking out the first episode. I really think you will be blown away.

    I enjoyed firefly when it had its horrible timeslot on fox (who killed it after like 5 episodes, thus proving it was indeed good). But from what I can see in this trailer, this movie is going to suck. The sounds in space for instance.

    Actually, one of the cool things about the series was that it was actually accurate about little details like that to preserve believability. However, in all the shots in the trailer that have sounds in space, there is some presence of an atmosphere, and they could have been put in for the trailer, so we'll see.

    The trailer came out yesterday. I've been a fan ever since the first episode, and I have the Season 1 Box Set. It's too bad Fox decided to cancel the show, they really could've had a cult hit on their hands had they kept it on the air.

    Also, damn you to hell, Fox! I want my <i>John Doe</i> back!

    One of the things I liked about firefly was that they realistically had no sounds in space, had no ray guns, that sort of typical sci-fi unrealistic crap. Its just one of a few of my problems with the trailer.

    The captain still has his 6 shooter at least, and I saw a bit of sage brush there. I really hope they don't take that stuff out.
